 DNExpress Team recommends that I AMEND/CORRECT my birth certificate due to incorrect information about my parents, dates of birth, etc.

 

  • Due to this state's laws regarding corrections to vital records, a Court Order must be provided along with the form that requests the amendment of your record. We can assist you in the obtention of an Order issued by the Supreme Court of California, County of San Diego, which is in the form of a Name Change request submitted to said Court.
  • Please note that amendments to records from states outside of the ones specifically mentioned above are subject to further review from our team, who will contact you regarding whether or not it is possible to correct the record under its state law.

If the state you're looking for does not appear on our list it means we are not able to assist you in correcting your record.

Costs:

  • Court order: $1,100 USD
  • Correction Service (Arizona): $150 USD

Texas is the only state in the U.S. that requires original and apostilled documents to fix mistakes on a birth certificate.

👉 Example: If we are correcting your mother’s name on your Texas birth certificate, the state of Texas will ask us for a new and apostilled birth certificate of your mother.

How it works:

  1. The new birth certificate must be purchased in Mexico, from your mother’s state of birth.
  2. That document is then apostilled in Mexico.
  3. Once ready, it is mailed to our central office and then submitted to Texas Vital Statistics.

Costs:

  • Document + Apostille Service (Mexico): $220 USD
  • Correction Service (Texas): $150 USD
